CRAIG SCHAUERMANN SERVES AS ARBITRATOR AND MEDIATOR

CraigSchauerman-250x250
Craig Schauermann has long served as an arbitrator in personal injury cases. Now he’s serving as a mediator in these cases as well.

One of the founders of our law firm, Craig Schauermann, now of counsel, was recently asked by Longview, Washington, attorneys to serve as a mediator on one of their personal injury cases. Craig Schauermann has been a member of the Washington State Bar since 1977, giving him nearly 40 years of experience in handling personal injury and wrongful death cases.

Recognizing that the history of Craig Schauermann’s practice of law has included many remarkable jury verdicts, arbitration awards, and settlements for his own clients, many local attorneys have long-recognized the value of Craig Schauermann’s vast experience and chosen him frequently over the years to serve as arbitrator on their own client’s cases. Being selected as a mediator, however, is a bit of a new twist for Craig Schauermann.

Craig Schauermann greatly enjoys and recognizes the value to the parties of the alternative dispute resolution process. He looks forward to the opportunity to expand his wide range of dispute resolution experience by serving as a mediator, whenever his services may be called for in that capacity by other attorneys.

Two of the firm’s other attorneys, Jeff Jacobs and Bill Thayer, also have many years of experience serving as arbitrators on injury cases, and, while newer to the cause, firm partner  Scott Edwards is gaining experience as an arbitrator from being on the mandatory arbitration arbitrator panels for Clark County Superior Court and Multnomah County Circuit Court.

The focus of practice at the Schauermann Thayer Jacobs Staples & Edwards PS law firm, however, remains representing clients on the plaintiff side in personal injury and wrongful death cases, with five of the firm’s attorneys dually licensed in Oregon and Washington. The firm takes cases on a contingent (percentage) fee basis and does not charge a consultation fee.
