TRUCK CAUSED FATALITIES INCREASE FOR 3RD YEAR IN A ROW

The National Highway Traffic Administration reported that U.S. fatalities from accidents involving large trucks showed a 3.7% increase in 2012 over 2011. There were 3,781 fatalities in 2011 versus 3,921 in 2012. This is the latest information available. That makes 2012 the third straight year of increases for truck-involved fatalities since they hit a low point in 2009 according to NHTSA data.
