IT’S A GREAT TIME TO BE A FAN

SeaHawks-300x519
What a time to be a fan in the Pacific Northwest.Football, Basketball and Baseball (about ready to start)—what a great time to be a fan!  This blog usually talks about injuries, accidents, deaths, the law and all sorts of trouble that people face and that we help them with.   BUT…sometimes it is just fun to look around and notice some good things going on – particularly in the world of sports in the Northwest…..

How can you not be impressed with the Oregon Duck Football team (even if most of us from this office went to schools other than in Eugene).  They are playing for the College National Championship on Monday evening.  The PAC 12 schools are all proud of you—GO DUCKS!

The Seattle Seahawks football team are in the Semi-Finals for the NFC tomorrow.  If they win—and we certainly hope that they do—they will play either the Dallas Cowboys or the Green Bay Packers for the NFC Championship and the right to go to the Super Bowl—AGAIN!  GO HAWKS!

The Portland Trailblazers are knocking the socks off of their opponents this season and currently have the second best record in the National Basketball Association.  They are fun to watch and seem to win despite having had a number of injuries and illnesses this season.  Wait until they all get healthy.  GO BLAZERS!

And finally, the Seattle Mariners are less than 6 weeks from when “Pitchers and catchers” are to report for spring training.  The M’s have traded for and obtained a number of good players this off season and it looks like maybe they will finally make a run for the playoffs.  My son always warns me not to get too excited about the M’s because all they will do, according to him—is “break your heart.”  Well—he’s been right about that for more than a decade but “hope springs eternal”.  Spring is around the corner—and we know that because professional baseball is about to start.  GO M’S (and please prove my son wrong—this is the year!).
